Vinyl lined pools are custom fit to galvanized steel walls and a customized hand troweled bottom. Since panel widths can vary from 1 foot to 9 feet wide, an unlimited number of configurations are possible. Next to gunite, vinyl pools offer a huge numberĀ of design possibilities. Vinyl liners are typically 28 mils thick and carry a 25 year warranty.
Steps:
- Site preparation and layout of the pool area are the initial step
- Setting the elevation is the important critical first step.
- Excavation to predetermined depths.
- Assembly of the steel wall panels .
- Leveling and plumbing of assembled panels.
- Rough plumbing lines from main drains, skimmers and returnsĀ to pump equipment.
- Pour concrete footing 8-10 inches thick x 3 feet wide to secure the pool base.
- Electrical bonding to light niche and pool walls.
- Backfilled after Inspection.
- Coping and deck installed.
- Deep end re-excavated to depth desired.
- Pool bottom shaped by hand.
- Pool bottom hand troweled with vermiculite 2-3 inches thick.
- Vinyl Liner installed.
- Water added, main drain, lights, skimmers and returns cut in.
