Fiberglass

Fiberglass pools are preformed at the factory, so local customization is not possible. The shell, weighing approximately 3,000 pounds is delivered to the client’s site via truck. The shell is then hoisted by crane into the prepared excavated hole as described below.

STEPS:

  1. Site preparation, clearing, setting the final elevation.
  2. Excavation  to proper depths.
  3. Craft the bottom as a mirror image of the fiberglass pool bottom.
  4. Compact the bottom base to accept the pool shell.
  5. Hoist the fiberglass shell into the prepared hole with a crane.
  6. Level the pool shell.
  7. Plumbing lines are in place ready to be connected at the appointed time.
  8. Lock shell in place by alternatively backfilling with sand washed in  with a water wand, and by filling the pool with water.
  9. Once the pool is locked into place and the backfill carefully compacted, the water filled shell is allowed to recirculate for a few days.
  10. Coping and deck are then installed.
